Dr Royida Al Marastani is a Senior Pharmacist with more than thirty years of experience in the UAE in Abu Dhabi in Primary Health Centers (PHC), Urgent Care Center (UCC) and Ambulatory Health Services (AHS) and MSc in Clinical Pharmacy UK. She is a lecturer from 2003 in Ministry of Health (MOH), in CPE/CME pharmacist’s program from 2011 in SEHA/ Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS). Her roles include conducting research, conference abstracts, invited presentations in the national & international conferences, focusing on pharmaceutical care based on safety and efficacy of the medications.

Joseph D. Miller did his postdocs in dopamine electrophysiology and in circadian biology 1979-1984. In 1984, he became the project director for a space shuttle project in primate circadian rhythms out of the University of California. In 1987 he moved to Stanford and became director of neurochemistry for the Stanford-Upjohn Center. In 1994, he moved to Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and left there in 2000 to become director of pharmacology at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. He is currently chair of pharmacology at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.

His research interests are in the biological mechanisms of drug abuse and dependency, and the neuropharmacology of sleep and circadian rhythms. He has been associated with the University of Texas Addiction Research Center for many years and have given many workshops on the neurobiology of drug addiction under their auspices.

Ibrahim Elsayed is associate professor and chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Gulf Medical University, Ajman UAE. He did his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy from Cairo University at 2011. His Graduate diploma in Health-Professions Education is from Gulf Medical University at 2015. He has an experience in teaching almost all pharmaceutics courses including dosage forms, Bio-pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, reaction kinetics, industrial pharmacy, quality control and assurance. He published 16 research articles in reputable international journals (Total Impact factor: 64, e.g. International Journal of Pharmaceutics, International Journal of Nano medicine and Expert Opinion in Drug Delivery). His H-index is 7, i10-index is 7 and total citations are 177 (according to Google scholar).He got a funded research project from Sharjah University (accepted and running).

His Research interests are use of nanotechnology in drug delivery, solubilization, targeting and bioavailability enhancement.

Howaida I. Abd-Alla, Ph.D., specializes in metabolomics natural products chemistry and completed her PhD at the University of Cairo in 2004. After spending time as a postdoctoral fellow at Laboratoire des Interactions Moléculaires et Réactivité Chimique et Photochimique UMR CNRS 5623, Université de Toulouse, France, she became a professor in the Chemistry of Natural Compounds Department, National Research Centre, Egypt. Currently, Prof. Dr Abd-Alla works as the head of the department where her research focuses primarily on isolation, purification and identification of natural compounds from medicinal plants, bacteria and marine organisms using advanced techniques for identification (1D and 2D NMR analysis), synthesis of derivatives of natural products, and bioactive assays in vivo and in vitro in natural products for use in treating different diseases.

Raid Alany has over 25 years of international experience in pharmacy education, pharmaceutics and drug delivery research. His academic journey spans three continents, namely, Asia, Oceania and Europe. He received his PhD in drug delivery from the University of Otago, Dunedin New Zealand in 2001; was appointed as a Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, The University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand, in 2001 where he was responsible for establishing the first pharmaceutics curriculum at The University of Auckland. He was promoted to a Senior Lecturer in 2004, appointed as Head of Pharmaceutics in 2007, promoted to Senior Lecturer above the bar in February 2009; appointed as Honorary Associate Professor in 2011. He joined Kingston University London as Professor (Chair) of Pharmaceutics in January 2011 and was appointed as Research Director for the School of Pharmacy and Chemistry in December 2013. He has been appointed as the Inaugural Head of School of Life Sciences, Pharmacy and Chemistry on 1st of June 2015. Raid won several awards such as Microscopy New Zealand Young Scientists Award in 1999 The University of Auckland's Vice Chancellor's Early Career Research Excellence Award in 2003, the Controlled Release Society Veterinary Programme co-chair/ chair Distinguished Service Awards in 2008/2009 and the Spark Ideas Challenge, Uniservices Prize and Chiasma Prize in 2011. He consults for human and veterinary pharmaceutical companies in New Zealand and Singapore and is an inventor on several international patents.

Fai Poon is currently the President of Quacell Biotech Ltd. He worked for Hisun Biopharm, Merck (SAFC), Roskamp Institute in the USA. He completed his PhD in Biological Chemistry at University of Kentucky and MBA from the University of South Florida. He has years of experience in the field of biological therapeutics, analytical research, bioinformatics and proteomics. He has more than 10 years of cell culture experience with the focus on biopharmaceutical products. He published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles and contributes to more than 5 book chapters. He is currently the managing editor for biomedical and pharmacology journal; Associate Editor for Journal of Chemistry, Biochemistry; and Molecular Biology, Band Journal of Bioinformatics and Biometrics.
