Biography

Dr. Nahla El-Sayed El-Ashmawy is a professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and is currently the Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Tanta. She has published more than 64 research articles in reputed journals and is an editorial board member of repute. She is a member of the “Promotion Committee for Associates and Professors", Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities. She is an associate trainer certified by “National Centre of Faculty and Leadership Development; NCFLD”. She is a reviewer and consultant of Quality Assurance of Higher Education certified by “National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education; NAQAAE”.

Research Interest

She studied the pathophysiological pathways of diseases to address new targets for drug discovery and to identify new non-invasive biomarkers for diagnosis or prognosis. She investigated the molecular mechanisms of drugs and the use of adjuvant or complementary therapy to improve therapeutic outcome. In vitro studies included differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into hepatocytes and preparation of cytokine-induced killer cells.
