Biography
Dr. Hassan is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He received his B. Pharm degree (Summa Cum Laude) from Faculty of Pharmacy, Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt. Then he joined the School of Pharmacy, University of Maryland where he received his doctorate degree and his post-doctoral training. Dr. Hassan has more than 12 years of experience in conducting pre-clinical and clinical pharmacokinetic studies. He received several national and international awards including the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) award in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, and Drug Metabolism/Clinical Sciences (PPDM/CS), Dr. Ralph Shangrow award, Dr. Arthur Shwartz award and the Egyptian Government General Mission award. In 2004, he was inducted as a Rho Chi Honor Society Member and he currently has a joint appointment as an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutics in Faculty of Pharmacy, Helwan University, Egypt. Dr. Hassan is passionate about his research program and he takes pride of being an active registered pharmacist by the American National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (nabp).
