- Elected dean of the College on 2/11/2011 for a period of 3 years. - A member of the Appeals Committee and the Patent Office oppositions - Academy of Scientific Research . - Member of the Committee on drug pricing at the Ministry of Health. - Member of the Committee on upgrades junior faculty and professors in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry at the Supreme Council Universities. - Member of the Committee on upgrades junior faculty and professors in pharmacology at Al-Azhar University, 2011. - Member of the Equalization theses of the Supreme Council of Universities. - Member of the Equalization bachelor's degree in pharmacy at the Ministry of Health in Egypt. - Member of the Supreme Council for the sector Universities. - Member of the emanating-up inspection of the Sector Committee on the regulation of private Universities.

Research Interest

• Isolation and structural elucidation of different natural compounds from their natural sources (medicinal plants &marine organisms). • Drug discovery: Anti-tumor, Anti-platelet aggregations, Anti-inflammatory agents, anti-diabetic, molluscicidal and hepatoprotective agents from natural products. • Analysis and standardization of herbal drugs(LC-MS, GC-MS & NMR). • Teaching Medicinal Plants, Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Quality Control for Herbal Medicine for undergraduate students , Biosynthesis of Natural Products as well as Structural Elucidation for postgraduate students • Sophisticated techniques for isolation of natural products (marine &plants). • Botanical studies on medicinal aromatic l plants.
